Workshop: Drawing with the Figure with Vincent Valdez 
Saturdays, February 19, 26, March 19, 26, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm Valero Learning Center
Vincent Valdez instructs on drawing the fi gure in space, lighting the fi gure, portraits, and self-portraits. Sign up for one or more sesssions; supplies will be provided. Teachers earn three hours of continuing professional education credit per session. Space is limited; register by February 17. Fee per session: McNay members $10; nonmembers $18
Evening for Educators: Ordinary Materials, Extraordinary Objects 
Thursday, March 3, 5:00 - 8:30 pm, Stieren Center for Exhibitions
Learn how everyday objects might relate to art, language arts, science, and theatre and earn three hours of continuing professional education credit. Teachers choose two sessions including Prozac and Cheez Doodles, a performance by Gloria Sanchez. Space is limited and registration is required. Fee: McNay members $5; nonmembers $13
Workshop: Cardboard Ransom 
Saturday, April 2, noon - 3:00 pm, Valero Learning Centers
New Image Sculpture artist Kiel Johnson builds replications of boom boxes, cameras, and microphones among other mechanical devices. In this one-day workshop, Johnson collaborates with participants to construct a short story with 3D words. Ages 14+. Space is limited; registration deadline March 31. Fee: McNay members $10; nonmembers $18
